Medical Aid (from R1 200 pm)

Medical aid is perfect for individuals looking for a comprehensive medical cover in South Africa. The cheapest medical aid option ranges from about R1 200 - R2 000 pm.

As regulated by the medical aid schemes act of South Africa, medical aid covers Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB). This way medical aid schemes must cover certain minimum benefits.

Comprehensive medical aid doesn't provide personal cover for dread disease of disability cover like health insurance* does. It does not pay out a lump sum that you can use for any other purposes.

TIP: It is advisable to combine a medical aid option with health insurance* that will pay out funds that you can use. This way you can ensure overall health cover.
